Current;y my company is using an older version of SafeGuard, 4.3 and attempting to install it on a Dell E6420 with a 500GB drive. When the install is complete the system reboots and appears to be working fine, after the SafeGuard kernel is put in place and rebooted once more the bios screen loads, the "F2" with the disk gif shows up but instead of loading Windows XP the screen stays black and the curser blinks at me forever. Rebooting ths machine does not reset/clear the event.
1) I'm wondering if this older version has a limitation on the drive size as this is the first 500GB hard drive we've purchased.
OR
2) Dell has its own Data Protection system that our network engineer installed as part of the image, perhaps there is a conflict between these two applications/systems as they appear to do the same thing. even though we are not using the Dell utility.
perhaps something totally different. Has anyone ran into this type of a problem?
