backup of my laptop

i used to use acronis to take a full disk backup of my machine periodically. since my company installed the safeguard. i cannot image backup my disks anymore.

what options do i have to backup my machine?

i have safeguard 5.35 encrupting my HDD with xp on it.

Im in this same boat and want to backup but tried once and almost cried to think that my laptop wouldnt start again so dont want to try again until i get confirmation of what tool works.
