Workstation Lock- Challenge Response not working SGE ver 5.50

I have a problem with a workstation, when performing the installation support unplug the power cord from the laptop and the battery dies before completing the installation and the laptop fails to connect to the server. To start the laptop in the POA states that the computer is locked and is required run challenge / response to unlock.

I've seen this if the system time in the BIOS is wrong. Particularly for laptops whose batteries are dead, the CMOS battery may also be dead. In the absence of AC power, the time could reset in the BIOS.
