"Sorry, access to the computer is locked"

Hi,

I have 6 users that they are getting "Sorry, access to this computer is locked".    The six users are in different departments and they have Windows XP and Windows 7.   I checked the logs on two computers and nothing.  I call tech support and they advised to install process monitor and process explorer.   But nothing comes up.  I made apply a GPO to disable indexing and windows defender and I still have the same issue.   I have made the exclusions to Sophos antivirus and same thing.

Any help??

  • We had this happen on one Windows XP computer today.  This is the first time we've seen this, and have almost 1,400 installs (SGN 5.50.0.116).  The error comes up at the point that the user would otherwise attempt to log on to Windows.  We're not using POA.  We were able to resolve this by initiating a POA challenge/response by pressing F2 at the "Autologon will continue" window.
