Remove previous client configuration policy package?

Hi!

Each time we install new updated Client Configuration package on computer, previous installation package is not automatically removed and stays in the list of installed programs. Is this intended program beheviour?

Is there a way to specify during installation that new package should replace previously installed? Is it safe  to delete previously installed package? The difficalty is that program name is exactly the same and I can delete the one with earlier date. But what to do, if they are installed at the same date?

We are using SafeGuard Easy Version 5.50.8.13. User computers run Windows 7 Enterprise.
