AD sync with task scheduler failure

Hello,

I'm trying to run AD sync with task scheduler in Safeguard 5.60 and it fails for some reason with an error: 'Failure (805306375).

I'm using the default script provided with the safeguard installation. Account that is used for Safeguard scheduler service has sufficient rights to write the sync log file, modify the Safeguard database and read data from Active Directory.

Also, I don't get any errors when I'm syncronizing data from AD manually using the same account which is used by the scheduler service and the initial sync has been done manually before trying to run it using task scheduler.

Does anyone know how to fix th issue and what might be the problem?

Thanks

Stymin

  • When in the SGN Mgmt Console ensure that the "Scripting allowed" checkbox is ticked: Tools > Configuration Package Tool > 'Register Server' tab

Hopefully it's somethig as simple as this! I know it catches me out everytime I perform an upgrade...

  • I have the same problem, if i manual sync it's ok, but it then keeps syncing until a new OU is created it then breaks the sync script. I've logged a call with Sophos about this and have been given a hotfix to apply, probably worth doing the same. Haven't got round to applying it yet as still filling in the red tape forms for my environment...

  • I've contacted Sophos support. I've got rid of the 'Failure' status by changing the path to the log file but than the task run for several hours without completing successfully. Support provided me with the hotfix which solved the problem eventually.

    Thanks
