SGE and SQL2008

We have been asked if its possible to upgrade our enterprise SQL server from 2005 to 2008 without breaking the SafeGuard database.

I have checked the requirements in the SEC documentation but can only find SQL2005 mentioned.  Can anyone tell me if this is possible let alone supported, as I have only just lovingly created and deployed to our environment.

Thanks
