Domain Account access denied in Safeguard Easy

Hi,

We just started using the 5.50 version of Safeguard Easy and I have found that I cannot log in to the POA screen with any MS domain accounts other than the one that was used to install the software. All other give the message "User is not known on this machine". Also - the policy editor has the options to add domains or import from active directory disabled. Any help would be appreciated.

    thank you very much for submitting this request.


    With reagards to your description I can tell you that both things are works as designed:

    1. The first user that logs on to the machine after the installation of SafeGuard Enterprise will become the owner of the machine and therefore a valid POA user. All other users must be added to the machine > please review the manual for details on that

    2. The import possibility of the Active Directory is only implemented in SafeGuard Enterprise and not in SafeGuard Easy. SInce the policy editor is based on the so called SafeGuard Enterprise Management Center it might be that a option is visible however cannot be used. Furhter information on SafeGuard Enterprise can be found on the Sophos homepage
