Delayed Write Failed errors with version 4.11 on new laptops

Has anyone been getting "delayed write failed" errors in Windows XP on laptops running versio 4.11 of SafeGuard Easy?  We have other laptops that are working fine, but one particular model routinely gives this error.  Also, does anyone know if there are drive speed limitations for this older version of SafeGuard?  The drives that are failing are 7200RPM while the ones that aren't are 5400RPM.  Thank you.

  • Hi JP72,

thank you very much for posting this one and welcome to the forum =)

With regards to your setup I can tell you that we have seen the mentioned behavior a couple of times in the past across all older versions but in most cases this was due to missing steps before the installation of SafeGuard Easy.

In most cases it was possible to resolve the issue by running chkdsk and defrag before the installation of SafeGuard Easy.

Also, you are unfortunately not using the latest version of SafeGuard Easy (the one you are using might even be out of support) so you should give a shot to the latest version =)

Last but not least this should not be connected to the drive speed in any way.

    Regards

    Dan
