get SGM401: Invalid Kernel

Hello,

I have a drive that was slaved to another system to be decrypted due to the other tools suggested by support did not work. Now when I boot up the systemt that the drive belonged to we receive the following error: SGM401: Invalid Kernel. Do I just wipe the drive and start over or can it be saved with the contents still intact?

Thank you,

Lenny

  • Hi Lenny,

not sure if I get the point... does the drive show 401 after plugging it back to the system or does the system that was used to access the data show SGM 401 now?

In case that a drive was decrypted by slaving you have to rebuild the system after saving the data =)

However we have not seen a system breaking when it was used to slave a drive before

    Regards

    Dan
