Uninstalling Sophos on a Mac

Hi.  I borrowed a Mac with 32 bit EFI to test SafeGuard on.  Just ran a decrypt drive last night since I have to return it but lo and behold, after I reboot it, there is the Sophos login screen (the mouse doesn't function BTW, how are you supposed to click the buttons?)

But anyway, I've read the MacSGNuserguide.pdf file, searched the forums for "uninstall mac" and there are no removal instructions for the software.  Since I need to return this Mac, where can I find out how to uninstall the package?

TIA,

- Alex Zavatone

  • I have downloaded the trial and isntalled it. Then I found out I had to create a partition which I can't do now. I thought it would work as the one I have for Windows, i.e. mount a file.

I am trying to uninstall and as I have never encrypted a disk I am running the advertised:

"To uninstall Sophos SafeGuard for Mac OS X use the uninstaller package Sophos SafeGuard Uninstaller.pkg in /Library/Sophos SafeGuard."

I am root and still get perission denied.

How do I get past this?

    Regards,

    Thomas.
