Uninstalling Sophos on a Mac

Hi.  I borrowed a Mac with 32 bit EFI to test SafeGuard on.  Just ran a decrypt drive last night since I have to return it but lo and behold, after I reboot it, there is the Sophos login screen (the mouse doesn't function BTW, how are you supposed to click the buttons?)

But anyway, I've read the MacSGNuserguide.pdf file, searched the forums for "uninstall mac" and there are no removal instructions for the software.  Since I need to return this Mac, where can I find out how to uninstall the package?

TIA,

- Alex Zavatone

Since the docs specify that one has to decrypt a partition and then uninstall the app before upgrading the OS, and since it is mentioned in the readme and Suet Guide, it would be really really good if:

    1. you included uninstall instructions in the readme and the User Guide

    2. a user never had to do this to upgrade the OS.

#2 is a major usability problem for us.  A horrible, major usability problem.

Are there plans to fix #2 and is it even possible to fix #2?

    Thanks,

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for posting your question in the SophosTalk community forums. Aside from the 2 items in this post, what do you think of SDE for Mac encryption overall?

    To address your questions directly:

    1. Uninstallation instructions are found in the Release Notes for Mac. The snippet you are looking for reads as follows
"To uninstall Sophos SafeGuard for Mac OS X use the uninstaller package Sophos SafeGuard Uninstaller.pkg in /Library/Sophos SafeGuard. You need to decrypt the hard drive first."
    2. Regarding your feature request, there is an current thread which Product Management monitors. Please post your request to the conversation.

Hope this helps and thanks again for your post.
