We tried to uninstall SafeGuard Device Encryption 5.50.1.16 from several Windows 7 machines, and it fails leaving the machine unbootable. After the deencryption process (part of the uninstallation process) completes, SafeGuard reboots the machine which then stops right after the POST with a black screen and a cursor flashing at the top left corner. Windows does not boot. Trying to fix this problem of unbootable PC, we booted from a recovery CD and used the BE_Restore.exe tool to repair MBR. This recovered the MBR only partially. Now we are able to start the computer and boot to the POA screen, enter password, but then Windows fails to boot. After entering the username and password at the POA screen, the computer reboots itself and comes back to the POA screen. We are stuck. Uninstall works on Windows XP, but it fails terribly on Windows 7. Anyone has a similar experience and knows how to fix this issue?
