If I was to reinstall windows on a machine that has safeguard already encrypted using the TPM-only method. When reinstalling windows and then Safeguard, would a new TPM key be created and stored on the chip or will I need to clear the TPM chip in the BIOS prior to encrypting the HDD?
When you reimage the laptop, all the configuration regarding any of the software will be vanished and no longer in effect. As per the recommended practice, we follow, we would suggest you clear off the TPM first.
