Windows Client Patch 1804 for SafeGuard enterprise 8.0 failed on certain machines

Hi ,

 

I am having problem with installing this patch on a number of machines, the difference is that these machines have a certain accounting software installed (Sage300) apart from the other machines which patched sucessfully.

Is there a conflict with sage300 and this patch?

    Hi George, 

    It pretty much sounds like an issue with the vcredists (which might indeed be related to a 3rd party SW that is installed). The best approach to get the installation of the patch running would likely be uninstalling all 2005 run-times (Visual C++ 2005 Redistributables), running the vcredist package and installing the SGN preinstall package that both come with the standard product.
