How to delete own posts?

I would like to know how do i delete my own post if made some mistakes or would like to remove it completely.
The online help says, i should klick on more and select edit/delete.

But there is no delete option after some time?
I see this only a few minutes after i post some information.

Thanks

Jürgen

  • Hi

When you click "More" on the community post which you want to delete/edit, what are the options you’re seeing? Please check the below screenshot for your reference.

  • Hello Shweta and Jürgen,

I also see no  Delete  (and no  Split/Join ) option in the  Community Chat . Interestingly I see Delete but no Split/Join in e.g.  Free Tools, whereas Intercept X shows the full set. Can't say if this is deliberate or a glitch, perhaps   can tell.

  • Hey QC,

As mentioned above, we prefer that users edit their post to remove the content they no longer want published. If it's content that should be removed because it's abusive or spam, we request that it be flagged as spam/abuse instead.

This allows us to keep track of all "deletions" and to action on the accounts of any repeat offenders, instead of just simply deleting their posts.

Regarding the split option, as a mod - you should have the ability to split individual forum replies into their own Community thread. This feature is meant to encourage users to create new threads for new discussions, rather than derailing an existing thread.

Let me know if you had any questions! Slight smile

    Cheers,
