- Tell us a little bit about your background
I was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Information technology from Nirma University. I am extremely passionate about computers and it all started when I couldn’t run a racing game on a laptop that I had purchased back in 2009. So, I went on the internet and read tons of articles, discussions, and watched several videos on how to build your own PC. After completing high school, I built my own PC and since have been addicted since. This was the primary reason why I wanted to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology. When I joined Sophos, I was very excited to learn new technologies in countering various attacks and I’ve really enjoyed working here. I am an avid motorcyclist, and I got myself my first motorcycle back in 2017, the KTM DUKE 390! Fast forward to 2020, I work with the excellent Sophos Community team, built a state of the art PC (yet again!), and am hoping to never see corona again. - What’s your role at Sophos? – I lead the Sophos Community Team and I’ve worked with Sophos Central/Enterprise Console Endpoints (Windows Endpoint/Server, and Mac Endpoint), and Sophos Mobile and am intrigued by malware discussions.
- What are your interests/hobbies outside of work? – I love playing tennis! I used to play 2-3 hours a day before my city was locked down in the light of the novel Covid-19. I’ve also spent hours going for a ride on my motorcycle, spending time with friends and family.
- If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? – I’m pretty sure a lot of you would agree with me on this - Pizza! Especially the 7 Cheesy pizza from La Pino'z
- What's your favorite family recipe? My mother’s Chana Puri recipe.
- What's your favorite movie? – For me, there can’t be one! I can’t seem to choose between The Matrix trilogy and the Batman trilogy. Super pumped for the Matrix 4!
- Do you collect anything? – Yeah. Memes.
- If money was no object, what would you do all day? – I’d still work and do what I love. Not a day goes by when I don't turn on my PC and as I’d have plenty of money, I would donate piles of money, regularly.
- If you could share a meal with any 4 individuals, living or dead, who would they be? – I guess it would be my late grandfather whom I admired greatly, my parents, and my girlfriend.
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be? – I’d like to have superhuman brainpower like shown in the movie “Limitless”.
- If you could go back to anytime in history, where would you go? – I’d love to go back to my childhood when the times were simpler.
