Ok, when making a filter action I have all these categories to choose from.  Now when I edit this filter action and add either a "Always Allow" or "Block" exception to those chosen categories I am required/allowed to name that exception rule.

Is there any way to share that exception rule between filter actions?

Example:  I just had to go through and add a bunch of exceptions in order to get Google Apps for Education to work for our high school students.  Now I am stuck creating and adding that same exception for our middle and elementary school students, along with the teachers. (They use different filter actions)

Anyone know if this is possible, or a shortcut?

I am talking about adds/blocks added to each filter action, not the main "Exception" list that applies to everyone.  I would like to create a list of sites needed to allow Google Apps (or any site) to work and apply that list to numerous filter profiles.

Possible now?  Something that may be added in the future?

    allow
    allow some and deny some
    default deny all

    you can do it if you study very well the picture sample in UTM

    Look.  I know how to create and apply a filter action.  I know about the exceptions for the default filter.

    I was just wondering if it were possible, since this new filter allows you to name and group the exceptions created inside each filter action, to share these exceptions between filter actions.

    My question was not how to create a filter, not about the default exceptions.  I just think it would be nice to create my own library of exceptions that I could assign to separate filter profiles.

    They have created categories that we can choose from to assign to our filter profiles. I would like to create my own library of exceptions and use them with my profiles instead of having to re-create a exception list for each profile that I want to allow access to "Google Apps", for example..

    If you don't understand what I am asking, please just let the question go on by.

    I am afraid you cant for exception 
    You can create a category 'only education"  and check what you need

    You don't need that.
    For that exactly there is the fallback action.
    Thing that want be configured in the profile will get to the default profile and will get the exceptions from it.

    dude..take a chill pill.  If you don't like the answer...provided it doesn't break any rules..you should be the one letting things go...

    Created a new "Regular Expression Object" in "Filter action #1".  Named it "Google Apps". 
    People assigned to this filter action/filter profile are now able to access all portions of Google Apps.

    Since I have several profiles(not all of them though) that need access to "Google Apps" I creaded an indentical REO in "Filter action  #2".  
    When I went to save it with the same name, but in a seperate filter action, it told me that a REO with that name already exists.  Which it does, 
    actually, just in another filter action.  

    So, it would seem that filter actions are aware of other REOs created in another filter action but I am unable to share that REO between filter actions?
    Or am I just missing a step somewhere?

    For now I am just saving the REO with a different name in each filter action.
