Group Users with Backend Authentication

Hi All,

I am new to Astaro, i have a basic requirement to group users using some backend authentication. I have tried setting up AD and LDAP servers, but it doesn't seem to work. Please note i use Transparent mode with no authentication. Can anyone help me with a brief setup description or some guide.

Thanks Bob!!, i'll try it out. i guess it should work, one question (maybe off the topic, pls excuse) - in the "allowed destinations" i have a particular vpn url the users need to access. each time i ping the name it shows a different IP, i've grouped all these into one. is there anyway i can get all the ip's for the url - without having to ask the client for the information.

Instead of a DNS Host definition, use a DNS Group definition with the FQDN. The only difference is that the Host definition only resolves to a single IP whereas the Group definiton resolves to all of the A records in public DNS.
