Http Parent proxy download problem on Astaro Security Gateway V7

Hello everybody!

I use a two proxies combo to get on the internet and when I find something to download I get into the Astaro Download Manager and there it hangs up (nothig happens at all).

I've been able to use those two proxies enabling (on the one on my network) the other one in webadmin --> web security --> http/s --> Http Parent proxy.

What's wrong?

    I can do any kind of modification you ask.
    I don't know what's astaro web security subscription but I don't think we have it.
    Right now Astaro Http proxy is disabled on both ends but I can enable it without problems, change ips, place atomic bombs... [:)]
    I can get rid of the squid proxy and use simply a gateway/router...
    Anything.
    I just need a way to let those people surf with our internet.

    - 1 - A Web Security subscription is required for use of the Astaro HTTP/S Proxy.
    - 2 - If you're already using a squid proxy, and we know that the Astaro HTTP/S Proxy is not enabled, then that answers this part of my question.
    - 3 - This is still a question - it seems that you have a basic networking problem, but we can't deduce the problem without knowing these IPs and seeing pictures of any routes, NAT rules and PF rules related to web traffic (to add pictures press the [Go Advanced] button below).

    I finally did it!

    I've had to set both astaro as proxies and set the astaro on the weak internet side to have astaro on the strong internet side as parent proxy and THEN set on the good astaro the squid server has a parent proxy.

    Works as a champ [:)]

    Hi, hope you're doing great
    I've a little question, what's the origine og the traffic youcan see in the Squid server
    I managed to get this done in the same way you did but my issue is that when the traffic reach the proxy it's masequeraded with the IP of Astaro in the DMZ where the Proxy is, wich  is not good for me since we need to see logs for peapole and not logs coming only from the Astaro

    Hi, Slimani, and welcome to the User BB!

    It sounds like you need to put your Astaro in Full-Transparent so that the IPs of the users aren't masqueraded.
