Problem with URL's with non english character

Hi

I have noticed that if the HTTP proxy is enabled URL's with non-English characters are unable to load.

If a URL contains ie å,ä or ö witch is allow for Swedish (.se) domains Astaro is unable to load the page. I get a time out and a page telling me that "Connection to server timed out"

Does anyone know if there is a way around this? I have tried to create an exception for some sites with these characters in the URL but with no success.

It was set to iso-8859-1 so I changed it to UTF-8 but that didn't work. Also tried UTF8 just to be sure.

If I remember correctly it's latin-1 in my box.

Just because nobody has asked this before: Is somthing in the IPS Log and what is in the contentfilter log during the request.

Latin-1 didn't work [:(]

But thanks for the IPS tip. I do get a message there for every site containing non-english character.
I got this when trying to access www.örjan.se.

OK - I suggest to disable that rule (17409) and go on trying

I noticed this behaviour too. Some times ago, for an error, I digited www.googlò.it but the url has been transformed in http://www.xn--googl-yta.it/. The same for à ù è ì. I supposed that this issue was caused by firefox, in IE8 I encountered less cases
