torrent file extension

I have trouble downloading files with torrent extension.
I use http transparent proxy and P2P filter( bittorent blocked).
No one on local LAN can open and download torrents. I made necessary exceptions for only 1 local IP.
I can browse torrent sites ( zamunda.net, arenabg.com, demonoid.com etc),
I can download torrents already manualy downloaded (when all filters disabled)  & imported into torrent client, but no success when trying to download single torrent file ( *.torrent)
Already applied latest updates - still no luck

    I'm confused... you're blocking BitTorrent in the P2P filter but you still want to allow torrent files to be downloaded?

    Have you checked the file extension options in the http settings?

    I used P2P filter to block torrents for all local lan computers.
    My boss wants to be the only one who can download torrents.
    That's why I decided to use exceptions to acomplish this goal.
    With his static IP in the exceptions he can browse torrent sites, but he cannot download torrent files extensions.This is tested with different computers and static IP's.
    If I don't do something about that he will punish me.....

    Sounds like you have a media sharing, strong handed boss... Might be time to look for a new job if you value a bruise free body.. [:)]

    Why not just add his IP address to the exception list on the proxy?  Make sure you add it under the advanced tab and all his traffic will bypass the proxy completely.

    What error do you get when trying to download the files?

    I'm having the same problem: IM/P2P Settings - Controlled Networks: Internal, Advanced - Control skip-list: one host who should be able to use torrent, Peer to Peer: Block All, Exceptions: none. If I try to download a .torrent file the connection times out and the IM/P2P Classifier log shows a P2P Rule: Bittorrent block. It seems that the exceptions list doesn't work.

    If an exception on the IM/P2P -> Settings -> Advanced tab doesn't work (though I agree it should), try adding one on the IM/P2P -> Peer to Peer (P2P) -> Advanced tab.

    I've tried it before but no luck. 
    Hosts and networks listed in the Control Skip-List are excluded from the IM/P2P traffic control by the Astaro Flow Classifier, i.e. neither incoming nor outgoing traffic of these hosts or networks will be checked for IM/P2P patterns.

    There are not many options where this can go wrong, according to the help if a host is on the skip list it should be excluded from any check. I have the host on the skip list, but in the logs I see the AFC Block action when I try to download a .torrent file.

    What tool is he using to download?  What does he see when his downloads are blocked?

    I'm not the thread starter but what do you mean by tool? I'm having the problem while trying to download the .torrent files through browser, and there the connection simply times out.

    check under NetSecurity Packet Filter rules..
