Custom Block Page?

Is it possible to modify the text of the error page for a given blocked site(s)?

What we are doing is blocking web access from a specified block of IP range. That is not a problem and those IPs can only get to one domain via a HTTP Proxy Whitelist filter for that IP range. When they try to access anything else it is blocked. However, I would like to change the text for that block page to inform them how they can get access to other sites. Is this possible?

    Management -> Customization -> HTTP proxy tab. You're still gonna get the astaro page, but you can change the message it displays.

    I tried your suggest. However that only seems to effect the standard Content filter. The page that is displayed for any site other than the white listed site is: 


    Astaro Security Gateway Version 7

    An error occured while handling the request

    While trying to retrieve the URL:	Any site other than the white listed site

    Error message:	The requested content is not allowed

    I to am looking for a way to customize the blocked page.  I want to capture the blocked page link information and redirect them to a request for bypass page.  Where are the admin pages hidden at?

    It was my impression that they would allow use of HTML beginning with V7.4.  Are you confirming that you tried HTML code and that it would not load?

    I think you are confusing an issue. The user would like a seperate page for http and https.

    I can use HTML code for customization of description for Content blocked by Surf Protection or by Blacklist and it's fine for me but I can't use customization for Content blocked by another reasonse like time out or host not reachable.

    This is the same problem I already complained about during the beta period:

    There are many reasons for ASG to display the standard "blocked" page and where the user gets no or only a confusing message. The funny thing is, that in some cases even the administrator can't tell what has happened [8-)]

    Bastian, I asked that question because I suspected that WaMaR might have a solution available, but I admit I don't understand the problem he's experiencing.
