Hey gang, just set up my ASG and was having a devil of a time getting the proxy to work. My setup is configured as follows: [LIST=1] ETH0 = local network ETH1=PPPOE via Bellsouth Dual Core Athlon64 4400+ 4GB of RAM [/LIST] When I set the proxy to transparent mode, the browsers cannot surf. Setting it to the 8080 port, they can surf in transparent mode. Could the 8080 setting be overriding mode?

Fresh 7.101 install no transparent proxy

Hey gang,

Yes, RAM is cheap, and certainly, put 2GB in if you've got the extra bucks... I mentioned that 1GB was plenty to point out that 4GB is certainly a waste... if he has enough processor, he could really load VMWare Server or ESX Server on that box and load some other virtual machines on it...That's what I do with some 4GB Dual Xeons I have, load test platforms and DMZ servers, etc.
