RED 10 and ADSL Router

If you want to change the situation you have to know that RED10 only supports 1 WAN line.

Normaly @ Company Connect the red must be configured with static entrys. you could check this simply on the red config tab @ the utm (see my picture)

(please don't forget to note the settings for the static)

If you want the RED to run with ADSL and a router in front of it, simply change the setting from "static Adress" to "DHCP Client"

Now wait some minutes until the provisioning profile was uploaded (also viewable in the red log) and the RED has taken the config from the server. The tunnel will not come up. Change now the WAN cable to the ADSL router and wait 1-2 Minutes and your RED will come up.

P.S.

Multi use of two different WAN lines is not included in the concept. With a RED50 you can connect two WAN lines, but it is designed for fallback or loadbalancing (but! it is balancing round robin, you have no option to take any action on the stream). The idea behind was to use two lines with the same conditions for loadbalancing.

Is the ADSL line only for websurfing in branch office or should it be also used for traffic to Head Office?

If only for websurfing it should be an option to use RED in Split Mode and gave the ADSL Router as Gateway for the rest.
But then there will be no "safty" from the UTM.

If you would use both lines for traffic between head and branch -> replace the RED with an UTM 110/120.

No not for Head office Traffic .  its only for Better internet Traffic for Branch office because with cc very slow is

So I think you should setup the RED mode with SPLIT Option.

If you set the RED to split mode you still have a RED10 with only one WAN line. You have to select to use ADSL or CPC.

- the non vpn traffic runs out of the RED directly through the connected line
- only websurfing is gooing faster
- but you lose all security features, provided by the UTM

The best option for your scenario is to get a UTM110/120 and use multipathrouting. In that case you can use both lines with full power.

Hi,

I think there are only two options.

1. Use RED10 with WAN connected to company Connect, and using SPLIT Mode.
    So the ADSL Line with the router will only connected to the switch.
    RED10 would be send traffic for the head office vi CC line, and redirect all   
    other traffic to the ADSL Gateway.

2. Replace the RED with an UTM 110/120 - as also suggest from you and me (yesterday) :-)  

I think both solutions should work, as I told him yesterday if he switch to SPLIT Tunnel the branch have no security from the head office.
