Is the sophos endpoint the full software or is it a trail form the utm 9? Just curious I love sophos products if it is the full I would like to know. If so how long will it be a feature this is great [:D]

    Hi, I believe that it is full, as long as you have the UTM with enough endpoint client licenses.

    Ok figured I would ask I love sophos products.  Was a old users of the Astaro back in version 5. Just figured I would ask hate to install it configure it and have it pulled out form under me and have to rush to get other protection back onto my few computers. Any way to get sophos official word on this ?

    It's full AV and device control.  Other features from the "regular" Sophos Endpoint client will be added over time.

    It also has Client Web Protection. In UTM v9.1 you will be able to configure Web Protection Policies as well.

    AFAIK, yes. But also AFAIK, this effectively removes the 'local content filter db' as the categorization lookup is done via SXL.

    AFAIK, yes. 

    I'm sorry to hear that.  This will put additional load on admins as it will no longer be possible to direct endusers to the website where they can suggest corrections themselves.

    Trust me that whole process will be improved in the future. End users will be able to 'request' exceptions at blocking pages etc, selected features of the sophos web appliance will be ported to UTM.

    Thanks, Mario - I'm getting a better feeling that the excellent design attributes are merging.  Whenever there's a merger/acquisition, I always worry that politics will trump quality and performance.  I'm optimistic that this is being minimized in the new Sophos.

    Wait so this means I can no longer use web filter to assign my policy's or will it be pushed into the sophos cloud that they manage and we would have to request sophos directly to unlock it? Sorry just not following it. I love sophos products I would get them for a place of business if ever asked about a product. And according to reviews sophos endpoint is extremely effective at its job
