i have spend many hours today to find this error...
Since this morning i get a call from one of our branch-office, that the printer put out many error sites like "PCL XL Error". After testing all printers, servers, booting, updating drivers and others, i can find the problem only exist when printing jobs packets pass the UTM. After analyse the logfiles, i see that line:
"15:47:14 Application control rule #5 Winny 172.***.***.3 : 63230
→ 172.***.***.17 : 9100 [ACK] len=1340 ttl=127 tos=0x00 srcmac=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx"
After disable the rule (or delete the Winny-Option in the rule) all works perfekt.
So in fact, i think a pattern update changes the application-control, to declare the printing job (TCP RAW-Port 9100) as an Winny Filetransfer.
This Thread should help other users, which also have this problem.
