Astaro from outside the internal network

I am trying to setup access to the Astaro machine from ouotside of my network. I have the ports forworded correctly, so I think my trouble is with the NAT translation. What should the NAT translation look like so that I can access my Astaro box from outside the internal network

    I will check to make sure I don't have any NAT rules in place, also the section where you set Webadmin accessible from, what networks should be in there? My guess is that just LAN should be in there and not WAN and LAN 

    Please refer to Post #2 above for what should be in there in addition to "Internal (Network)".

    That's a cool tip. As always, it's deciding between security and ease of use.

    When watnemoe1 can fiiiinalllllllly connect, and there are no other issues, he should consider your tip.

    But Webadmin is pretty secure as it is without all that stuff. it locks out after any kind of failed attempts and of course uses SSL. VPN, changing ports, and restricting IPs is a bonus [:)]

    From a business centric perspective, this belief has less to do with an admins personal preference and more to do with business requirements as set by company security policy, governing laws, and vendor/customer contracts.

    lololol thats your problem.... it needs to be set to any

    that's why you cant connect.... your allowing webadmin to only listen on the LAN... the "any" settings literally is any network... your lan and wan (internet)


    That works but is against my home network security policy. It's too wide open

    Then Define some Networks and make a Network Group, and allow LAN + the Group.

    NO.
    Add a network definition for your Office and wherever you're trying to connect from.
    Put them in a Network Group.

    Put that group in the Allowed Networks for WebAdmin.

    I use the approach of connecting to my home LAN from the outside world using a VPN connection.
    When I need to access the webadmin on my Astaro box from the outside world, I do so via the VPN connection.

    That way there is no need to specifically allow webadmin access from the WAN. 
    The only configuration required to do this, is enabling VPN hosting, and adding the VPN address pools as networks that are allowed to access the webadmin.
