QoS for NoxoniRadio

Hi Astaro guys,

please can someone give me a step by step guide to create a working QoS rule for the Noxon iRadio in my WLAN network? I created one, but it doesn't work, from time to time (approx. every 2 min.) the audio stream to the Noxon stoped for few second. My configuration:
Astaro v8.203
1x External_DSL (Standard Ethernet con. with DSL Modem)
1x LAN  (Standard Ethernet, 100Mbit)
1x DMZ (Standard Ethernet, 100Mbit)
1x DMZ_2 (Standard Ethernet, 100Mbit)
1x WLAN (54Mbit, AP10 on DMZ_2)

On each Interface "uplink limit", "Download Equalizer" and "Upload Optimizer" is activated. Downlink and Uplink are set.
The NoxioniRadion is in the WLAN network.
I want to create a QoS rule that give the audio stream to the Noxon a guaranteed bandwidth of 250kbit/s.

Can anybody help?

    From the reviews i have seen and the other post on this thread the issue isn't your asg it's the device.  Try heading to pandora.com and listening with your browser.  If it works fine then it is most assuredly your device.  Streaming media of any kind is not normally a problem for Astaro....not with how much pandora/netflix/vudu me and my clients put through our asg's..[:)]

    One problem I can think of are pattern updates. Try setting it to install patterns only once a day and report again

    The HTTP-Proxy stops processing on updating

    Hey astaro guys,
    First of all, thanks for the engaged discussion.
    The following I figured out:
    1.) I added under "Web filtering" --> "Advanced" --> "Skip transparent mode source hosts/nets" and "Skip transparent mode destination hosts/nets" the Philips MCI730, uncheck the "Allow HTTP/S traffic for listed hosts/nets" --> so you have to create a firewall rule MCI730--> Any-->Outside_any (internet)
    but check the box "Bypass content scanning for streaming content" too
    2.) I made an Exception under "Network Security → Intrusion Prevention → Exceptions"
    3.) I made an exception under "Web Security → Application Control → Advanced" (Skip hosts/nets)
    4.) the QoS definition is still:
        Traffic selector: outside_any-->any-->MCI730
        Bandwith Pool: Guaranteed Bandwidth: 350 kbit/s + the traffic selector above
    Now it works fine. I have two astaro-network installations one with a MCI730 and one with the noxoniradio, both audio streams now are stable and never break, works fine, even if another client in the same network download huge files.
    Important is to know, that the proxy can't handle QoS traffic with a guaranteed Bandwidth, only the firewall. So remove the device for what you need guaranteed bandwidth, from all proxy adjustments.
