[v9]Help with QoS configuration

Hi All

I am trying to set up QoS for my network. I have an AP-10 with two SSID( Guest and trust users). I have therefore set up the following  configuration 
(v9.044-33) has qos broken but the config should work on previous versions

Zone 1 users are : vlan 10 192.168.2.x/24
Guest  users are : vlan 20 172.16.1.x/24

Internet interface (only Upload Optimizer checked)
Downlink kbit/sec:5000
Uplink kbit/sec:1000

Zone 1 interface (only Upload Optimizer,Limit uplink checked)
Downlink kbit/sec:1024000 
Uplink kbit/sec:1024000 

Zone 1 interface (only Upload Optimizer,Limit uplink checked)
Downlink kbit/sec:1024000 
Uplink kbit/sec:1024000 



Note – You can only assign up to 90 % of the entire available bandwidth to a bandwidth pool. The gateway always reserves 10 % of the bandwidth for so-called unshaped traffic. I therefore configured my qos as if the available BW is 4608kbit/sec

    Looks nice.  I haven't used Application Control much, so this is one of the first practical examples I've seen.

    william have you tested this at alll (qos with app control). I am on version 9.004-33 at the moment and qos is broken so not sure if it works . The main questions I have are :

    1) If traffic matches "AF31 Application for Trusted Users" (for example if the application is VOIP related) ,then there is a 2073 BW guaranteed. (that means that other traffic may be limited (for example torrent ) in order to get 2073 kbit/sec foR AF31 Application for Trusted Users
    2)If no other traffic than torrent is being used (AF11 Application for Trusted Users), the torrent can use all bandwidth. However, if traffic from other class (for example HTTP) begins,then HTTP should get 1840kbits/sec and torrent traffic will be limited
    3) Zone 1 users get traffic prioritization over guest users (i think this should work as I don't have any "Guaranteed Bandwidth" set (is set to 1kbit/sec)

    I don't have naything that elaborate setup but ehre's what i do have:

    I ahve auto qos and uplink limiting on all interfaces.  interfaces are set to 50/10.  I do have ipsec guarenteed 2 megabits out on the external interface if sourced from my "sick computer" interface.  This interface is for sick computers that i work on but also for my Sprint Airave.  Here's what i've seen:

    if another machine is doing something..say netflix..and i start a large file transfer i'll see my incoming bandwidth slowed by an amount equal to what my tv's netflix requires.  Once the netflix transfer is done i get it back..that's part of the download equalizer in quto-qos working right there.  if i am doing a large file transfer out i'll see all 10 megs out until I start or receive a phone call then i see my upload reduced by an equal amount in accordance to what my airave requires o the wan to maintain it's connection.  Before the middleware patch provider by merlin in v9 i noticed it either being erratic or not working at all.  With the middleware patch it's working..but it's not as quick to react as it was in v8.
