QoS seems not working

Hi, in our university network we need to limit a few IPs bandwidth as they are really using 6 mbps of the 10 mbps connection. And the rest of ~100 users having real trouble with internet speeds.

Here are my configs:

bandwidht-pool



The problem is; the trafic selector has two ip addresses and these users still using lots of bandwidth, about 6 mbps altough it shoud be 128 kpbs

Hope you can help me to figure out things.

    Do you mean that you used Billybob's idea and created a service definition like "HTTP-Proxy-Incoming = 8080 -> 1:65535" - or that you used the regular HTTP-Proxy service in the traffic selector?

     Yes, I used Billybobs idea. HTTP-Proxy-Incoming = 8080 -> 1:65535 as selector and a pool on TRUST network did the trick. Its working very well now [:)]

    Thanks to both you and Billybob!

    I have several customer sites I'll tickle.  It's apparent now that it was another part of the QoS configurations I did that fixed their problems.

    2. Create the traffic selector for the computer you want to throttle.
    3. Add to the bandwidth pool. Screenshot3. (Make sure this is on LAN (TRUST))

    For some reason, this doesn't work for me. We are using HTTP proxy. Does it make any difference? I need to throttle HTTP downloads a little bit.
