IPS Not working at all?

Hello,

I have an Astaro home use license, and I am having trouble getting IPS to work.  I have my internal network listed in the "Local networks" list, but I am seeing NO hits at all on my system in the IPS logs.  This seems odd to me, because back when I was using another firewall product, I got hits all the time on Snort.  Have I setup something wrong?  I am somewhat of a noob to the firewall scene, but I am a software engineer, so I am computer literate, and can provide any additional details if necessary.

    hello i am also facing the same problem wonder if my setup is right i put my external and internal both network in ips list till i dont see any alert when i run a portscan from grc.com or internally scan from nmap strange its show it in log file that port scan detected but not in IPS:0 attacks blocked i had set all the options including portscan detection is it a bug in gui mode ???

    secondly please can any one tell me which antivirus engine i will get in single scan mode at home free license right now i am using 30 days trial license of astaro

    If by that you mean in 'Local Networks' in IPS, then that is not right.  Only internal networks should be listed, not External.

    Avira is used in single-scan; ClamAV is added for dual-scan.
