blocked traffic ?

Hello,

we're using an older appliance from pyramid (intel serverboard, 2x xeon ht cpu (ht disabled!), raid, 4GB) with v7.401, fresh install.

there are 6 dual-wan cards (intel GBit), 4 in use (8 subnets).

the fw runs for a few days now, today the traffic locks up, only the webadmin-access is possible.

i've created an any/any rule, but nothing happens so i restarted the device an anything works fine again.

anyone with similar effects?

The environment is an powerplant, so it have to work without this issues! [;)]

Could it be a bad NIC or switch?

Good mornin',

the switch is ok because the issues appears after a few days, not right after the restart.

now i'm running w/o ips, it seems stable now... [:S][:S][:S]

i'll keep an eye on and report.

After you installed the fresh ISO, did you do a "restore" of a backup, or did you re-create the routes from scratch (as new)?

from scratch, no backups.
also no u2d's, v7.401 out of the box.

Since this is, in essence, a clean install, I wonder if you had any different MTUs under V6, or if any of the interfaces were set to half-duplex or a fixed speed?
