RealVNC problem

i've red all the threads about vnc here but found no answer to my problem; realvnc is not working.
my settings:

dnat:
source any - service vnc /tcp 1:65535 - 5900/ - destination wan
destination me - destination service vnc
packet filter: me - vnc - any /tried any - any - any for testing but no luck/

the connection is timed out, http://www.gotomyvnc.com test page shows not responding ports and port scans mark the port 5900 as stealthed. in the pocketfilter live log sometimes i see a default drop entry but not always.

what have i forgot?

  • i am seeing a similar problem with my picophone. i am using astaro for several years and never had problems providing some internal services to the outside.

picophone is defined as a service, a dnat is installed and a packet filter rule allows request to the external interface for that service to travel to my pc (the same as years before).

everything worked with v6. now i installed v7 and the packet filter rule seems to be ignored. i am seeing a 'drop default' for that service in the live log.

    any ideas?

    thanks,
    bitbucket
  • Just for kicks; do you have anti-spoofing turned on?  Try turning that off...
