DNAT problems?

how many outside IPs do you have? 

Match parameter
Source address: No Match
Destination address: External_IP
Service: No Match


change to:

Source address: any (or pre-defined outside networks)
Service: HTTP

I have one external IP address.     

change to:

Source address: any (or pre-defined outside networks)
Service: HTTP

I used these parameters, but it still is not working.  The webadmin logon screen pops up.  I need my external address to be redirected to my internal web server.

  

1) define /32 network for webserver 
2) Make sure any and outside interface not listed in allowed HTTP proxy list
3) create DNAT rule:
PRE:
source: no match, dst: outsideIP service:HTTP
POST:
soure: no match
service: no match
DST: predefined /32 network for internal http server.

4) define packet filter rule to allow {whatever is appropriate} HTTP internal_webserver and enable
 

... when accessing your IP address form the outside, you say the webadmin page shows up? that's strange, webadmin is HTTPS, have you really tried http?

Scott, I have the same setup.

Here's how I do it.  I setup virtual external ip's to my external nic.  i.e.  primary ip to external interface is xxx.xxx.xxx.49 on the same interface, give it a new name and give the same nic a virtual ip of xxx.xxx.xxx.50

under routing, set the routing from the webserver external interface to your internal webserver definition.

with Dnat, should look like this.

Packets to match:
source: no match  destination: webserver external interface (or equivalent)

service:  http (or whatever equivalent service is)

change source to: no change

change destination to: webserver internal definition

service: no change

That works for me anyway.

Thanks for the info.  I'm probably going to look at moving the Webserver to my DMZ.  I don't like the idea of it being in my internal network, but it's nice to know it will work if I need it to.
