I don't think I understand the nature of this entry:

15:34:54 24.83.246.249 1940  ->  192.168.1.5 3953 TCP ACK

How could its destination be one of my private IPs and what should I do about it?

    I found that it does work but I have played with it quite a bit and found that it is easy to get it to not report the scan.  The best thing that the port scan tool offers you is the ability to drop scans or sent an icmp reject.
