  • Guess I'll just roll the dice at some point and see how it goes
  • How is the newest update (9.353004) treating everyone?

I don't know yet, but I received email notifications and it appeared on both of my UTMs this morning. One is supported hardware, the other is a virtual machine at home.)

I have not installed them, but am waiting to see if others (who are braver than me) report any serious issues. Nobody has started a thread on the new update yet (Version 9.353-4), so I guess I will:

  • Yeah, I am not that brave when it comes to work stuff. LOL
  • Set it up in my own office. Haven't noticed any problems yet.
  • I've updated to 9.353004 at four customers. No problem yet.
  • I did upgrade one of my appliances (SG310) to 9.353-4, the Flow Monitor does not work at all (but I don't get the Backend disconnection error message).

On my personal virtual appliance, everything works fine, including the flow monitor.
  • Do you use the same browser to access the working and non working flow monitor? I ask because in my case after a recent upgrade to the latest version I discovered that flow monitor had no backend errors but also not working when using internet explorer 11 (I did clear cache, history etc) so being a Windows 10 workstation I tried the edge browser and surprisingly everything worked including the flow monitor switching back to IE 11 flow monitor remains broke. So makes me think perhaps there is a browser compatibility issue. This being a virtual appliance I also found interesting that the upgrade is not consistent in behavior concerning the flow monitor. My first upgrade I had the flow monitor issue including the backend error (did not try at that time MS edge) so since it was a VM and had taken a checkpoint I was able to roll back to the previously working version. Repeated the process and this time flow monitor broke again but no backend errors. I then stumbled on finding that the Edge browser did not have the issue so have not rolled back and I am ok as is
  • If you're having "flow monitor" viewing problems, try a different browser.

As others have mentioned, after first upgrading at some clients, but, interestingly, not all, I ran into the same browser problem trying to view the "flow monitor" with Firefox v.43.0.4. Two days later, after reading Phily's post, I tried Microsoft Edge. Worked fine. Upgraded FF to v.44 (just released), and it works fine too. I did not test thoroughly, so I'm not sure where the problem is, but it's working now.

  • We have two parallel threads going about 9.353-4. This one, which is really about 9.352-6 and 9.318-5, and the thread for 9.353-4 here:

    community.sophos.com/.../74351

May I suggest that we move discussion about 9.353-4 to the other thread, so that future searches will get to the right places?

(Next time, I will wait for someone else to start a thread on the latest update. Sorry.)
