High Avilebilty

Hi,

We did setup the HA between 2 SG310 in the web admin I can see both devices the master is Ready and slave says up2date instead of Ready.

also in the dasboord I can see the serial number of node1 but the serial nuber of the Node2 is 0.

there is still not  internet connection for the UTM. could it this be the reson that node2 shows up2date instade of Ready? and when there is a internet connection the Node2 serial numebr will show as well?

    Depends if you have set preferred master. Default is: No. A device stays master until it is shutdown or detects failures.

    A side note: You definitely need to get some training, please ask your reseller...
    At least read the online help of your UTM and search a bit for yourself in the forum. Most of your questions have already been answered in other threads.

    I did ran the test and when I did shutdown the Master, as it was expected the slave take his palce and become Master and when old Master came back online it become slave.

    I recommend against setting a 'Preferred Master' as this has caused some HA Up2Dates as recent as 9.310 to crash, requiring a reload from ISO.  If you are going to use that, be sure to disable it before doing an Up2Date.
