  • Same thing there Barry.  My typing there just didn't show it, but that's the error I get.

  • Ah thanks, I never putty into my UTM, lol.  Not a command line guy in linux.  [;)]

My ethtool command doesn't work there either.

    /sbin/ethtool -K wlan0 tso off
Cannot get device feature names: No such device

You can lookup the interface name in webadmin under interfaces. It could be wlan1 or wlan2 or any other number, you should put that number in the commandline.

Those interfaces are hardware interfaces for the UTM, not the Wireless interfaces which is a wlan(x), which is what I was trying to fix with the Android devices falling off of the wireless AP30.  My AP is connected to my network switch, which I think is why ethtool won't see the interface, as the AP is not on a hardware interface directly connected to my UTM.

You can see the wlan0 reference though in the logging for wireless, for the hostapd.

  • Amodin, the wlan objects are the (virtual) interfaces inside the UTM, so you do need to run the ethtool command there.

    Hey Bob,

Yeah I have tried that several times, and still just come up with that error I was getting about 'no such device', and those interfaces aren't listed either in the UTM, so I'm sort of at a loss at this point.  I will have to dive more into ethtool and see what I can do with it.

  • @Amodin:  Just to be on the safe side, you did elevate to root before running the command, right?
