Memory Leak

FYI

After the last upgrade of our UTM to Firmware version: 9.108, we start having a memory leak.
Our normal memory consumption was about 25%-30%, and now it's gradually increasing to 80% (16GM Ram).
The Swap blow up to 100%.
Now I'm in a situation that I force to restart  our UTM every 3 days.

Astaro (Sophos) confirm it's a known issue (something to do with using http proxy in transparent mode)/

If you plan to upgrade - you better wait.

    I have a prospect that has 256 users on free wifi right now.  Using hybrud http proxy and no caching in Web administration area either.  No noticable impact unlike cff...

    I have bee looking, and it seems that the DB are downloaded from Sophos Content Filter Framework Server and gradually growing (very slowly tho).
    more than an hour - 37 MB, in a rate of  9 KB/s.

    That may be....but ive nit seen memory leakage like I did with tge local cff database...

    Hi William.

    At first, it seems that the memory is sill growing - even I turned off local memory DB.
    Second - for the good news - there is an update for fixing the leak issue in Astaro ftp.
    Just for my curiosity, I'm going to wait with it and see if disabling the local cff database did help with the memory leak.

    If you have something that is leaking memory and then just turn it off that will not free up the leaked memory. What you need to do is make the adjustments and then reboot the machine so that the leaking process is actually stopped and then restart it in in a non leaking way. Does this patch supposedly address the local CFF database leaking or is it another leak that they are addressing

    Hi William.
    Last night I restarted my Astaro.
    Two hours ago, I have noticed that the memory start rising up again, which mean that the memory leak didn't occur from the local cff DB.
    I have just install the new update, and so far it seems OK.
    Never the less, I'm curios about how the new hybrid mechanism, and the difference between the cff.  
    Can you refer me to any article about it?
