the old update is still there.
Login via ssh an have a look to /var/up2date.

Delete the old update from /var/up2date/sys and /var/up2date/sys-install or call support.

Keep in mind:
NOTE: Any modifications done by root will void your support.
      Please use WebAdmin for any configuration changes.

The 9.104-17 is a GA so the right package should be in your update and not manually install.

ok... I also tried uploading the u2d-sys-9.104014-104017.tgz.gpg file as a test, it also fails which I expected with the exact same message.

Whether I upload u2d-sys-9.103005-104017.tgz.gpg OR u2d-sys-9.104014-104017.tgz.gpg I get the same error message!

Is there a cache somewhere I need to clean?

OK, just saw your reply.. I will try now.

If you downloaded manually , just be sure there are no incorrect update as described in your up2date folder.
If yes , then you have to delete them first.
Otherwise it won't install.

may be it is an Essential Firewall or a firewall without Internet Connection or the Firewall checks only once a month and he do not like to wait or it is a fresh installation (is there a 9.104-17 ISO and ASI?).

I SSH'd in and removed both files that were in /var/up2date/sys and /var/up2date/sys-install.

I left the system alone, and didn't touch it, then I noticed the cluster was installing updates, then syncing. Very strange. Both 220's in the cluster are now at 9.104017.

Happy to hear.
You did not mentioned its. Cluster :-)
If you ever have this issue you have to delete from both nodes.
In your case probably one node was OK with the right packages and the other not , that's what did the mess.
