[Question] i3, Esxi and UTM (home)

Hey guys just had a quick question.
Im eyeing of my next build and considering consolidating a few boxes into a esxi environment. UTM being one of them.

I would like to keep it low powered so i was thinking along the lines of a Intel Core i3 3220T (2.8GHz Dual Core with Hyperthreading). My question is what kind of resources would v9 need to run the following.
PF,Web Filtering (AV + Cache), WAF, IPsec site2site, SSL roadwarrior, Inter-Vlan  Routing (4). 10users, 25ish devices.

I was planning to move my ftp/webserver, ldap/radius, torrents as separate vHosts. Am i dreaming or overkill? Should i be aimming higher?

    I can't find that model #, but I do see a "Xeon E3-1265L v2" at 2.5GHz and 45W TDP... is that the one you're using?

    try a e3 3265lv2 runs 35w quad core with hyperthreading. Base freq is 2.5ghz which quickly turbos to 3.5ghz. I have one using an intel server board with 16gb ram, 3 disks 2 of which are SSDs, idles about 25w. 

    Yea I wanted to use one of those boards aswell, but the 16gb limit is a letdown so i might have to find another.

    I was looking at the Intel Xeon E3 1230 V2.

    My understanding is you will need to use a display card with the model you have selected.
    The chip will address 32gb, so you could try two 16gb chips, but they are expensive just to run a test with.

    Corey3443, how many drives were you looking at using?  When you get multiple hosts running on a single VM depending on the disk utilization of each VM you may run into disk IO issues at which point spreading the load over numerous HDD Spindles will help performance tremendously [:)] ignore me though if you're going to use a SSD.

    True, but i didn't consider it a problem. But for $60 extra and lowwer TDP your option looks better anyways =)

    I wanted to use a DBS1200KPR board, but it apparently doesn't support VT-D and is limited to 16gb ram. Ideally i would want to pass through my NIC for the modem side. Otherwise I will have to use vSwitchs and VLAN it. Which imo doesn't seem very secure. (Correct me if im wrong).

    2x 60gb SSD's. As they are just lying around =) Any extra storage will be handled by my nas using NFS or iSCSI. I was trying to keep this as low power, small form factor but still powerful enough to do what needs to be done. But it seems if i want more than 16gb ram ill need to move away from miniITX
