UTM 9.004 Up2Date Soft-Released

Greetings!

We have just uploaded the UTM 9.004 Up2Date pacakge to our FTP servers. This release is mostly to add support for a new licensing mechanism for our UTM 100 product, but we'll also take this as an opportunity to increase the stability of UTM 9 by quashing a few bugs, notably a pesky one with IOS6 and the Cisco VPN client that we support. (Cursed Apple always changing things).

Note that the UTM 110 has had the 10 user-limit removed entirely, and the UTM 1xx line now has some bandwidth limits on the 100/110 instead which act as separators from the 120 (in addition to the Basic/Full Guard choices). 
**To pre-emptively answer the question that is addressed in the FAQ, your existing license and renewals are grandfathered for the future, we won't force you to switch to the new ones. However you cannot buy the old 10-IP limit 110's any longer either. (Keep what you have for the future, but only the new stuff is available to buy as of Nov 1st.) So if you happen to love the 10-IP limit style, I'd suggest you place some (hopefully large) mass-110-license orders today/tomorrow [:)]

    FYI, today I was messing around with this a little more.  I didn't get far, but just another technique I tried was to disable Endpoint, but keep data.  Then re-enable it.  It showed disabled, until I re-applied the license for UTM.  It stayed that way for approximately 30 seconds, then switched back to disabled on the Dashboard.  The Sophos client on the computer though is still updating.

    There are a couple of threads running in the end point forum about this subject.

    My EPS (PCs) are updating even though the UTM shows them offline, it also show one with the wrong IP address.

    Yes the EP Forums are having a discussion there. We'll be sure to address that before GA.

    It looks like someone flipped a switch, Endpoint is now magically enabled.

    Are the clients also showing as online or just the liveconnect service has been enabled for you? (Any logs)

    It looks like someone flipped a switch, Endpoint is now magically enabled.  


    Same here, must have been an issue with the LiveConnect Brokers and this new up2date (I guess they fixed it on the broker end)... my home endpoint still doesn't show as online (although it is), but this is progress.

    Just the service enabled.  They still show offline.

    Same thing here... tried rebooting the client, no change; no drops (exceptions are in place, and worked before) between the client and the broker detected.  Something is still broken.

    @Bruce: Can you please send me your UTM ID in a PM? If possible also the Endpoint IDs of your machines.
