High Availability Notifiers?

I have a customer who has set up two units in High Availability. Is it usual to show one as being UNLINKED?

Please see the attached scr-shot.

Thanks,

  • OK a quick update on this. The customer just got back to me and it looks like the two devices are still syncing... Well the standby device is anyway.  Any further thoughts would be well received...

    Thanks

  • Time to get Astaro Support involved.  Just out of curiosity, you might look at the High Availability log.  I've seen a situation where the MTUs of the sync interface became mismatched in an Up2Date, but that needs to be fixed at the command line.

  • Thanks Bob, I'll call in support later today.

I notice someone else is having the same issue as well. This thread seems vet similar...

If anyone else is following this thread,  I'll post there with any updates until we get this thing resolved or it proves to be a different issue...

  • any updates about this thread? i have 2 asg 220 with 8.305 and ha cluster.
the slave is syncing and never gets active.

i will update to version 9, but not now. just a few weeks later.

    regards,

    sebastian
  • Updating won't fix this problem if it's the MTUs that aren't matching.  If you know how, you can check that on each 220 with ifconfig.  If not, then you should ask your reseller to open a Support ticket with Sophos/Astaro.
