Astaro only using 1 of 4 CPUs

I was reviewing the performance of my installation and noticed something startling.
I have a 4 CPU installation on a VM and Astaro is using only one of these processors.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this.

I booted the machine and 3 procs are essentially flatlined at 0 while one is maxed out trying to load and run everything.

which hypervisor? Did you install with the multiple vcpus already enabled or did you install with just one?

My hypervisor is VMware ESXi 4.x.
The VM specs are as follows:

CPU's - 4
RAM - 3GB

hmmm I'm not familiar with only one vcpus 'enabled'
I'll need to look into this. It certainly suggests what the problem is.

I went to the download screen and reviewed the README for the VM download and I see nothing that suggests that this is in any way limited to 1 cpu.

I installed with multiple... but I didn't document such details during installation.
Do I need to reinstall from the ISO?

maybe..something isn't right if it is not using all 4. I would do a config backup and try a reinstall.

Just out of curiosity, check the kernel version by running
uname -r
on the console to see if you are running a smp kernel.

For me uname gives:
2.6.32.42-15.g07a53b3-default

Also running 4 CPUs on ESXi5, only one CPU is used.
Installes from the ESXi Image (asg-8.102-esx-v4.zip).

How can I enable multi CPU support?

you may have a bad download then. as long as you have multiple vcpus at the time vm creation it would just pick them up.

The download includes a preconfigured OVF, I didn't create the VM myself but imported this one.
I have to check if I have an option to add more cpus at creation time or with a newer esx image.
