Home license not enough for my home..

I got a bit of a shock a couple of days ago, got an email from astaro...
"you have exceeded 90% of the user count for your license."
Seems I'm up at 46 of my 50 IPs.
I had been messing with some old hardware all at once, popping up past the 45 limit.
Did some mental counting of everything in the house and golly-gee, I am using up 40+ IPs at home.  (Airports, laptops, iProducts, printers, IP phones, Xen server)

What options do I have here?  Is there an extreme home license for Astaro? [[:)]]
Or do I have to abandon Astaro once again?  (I've been using Astaro for over a decade)
My pricelist from 2001 says I have to pay $1400+$400/year for 100 IPs  [[:)]]
I'm guessing that price list is a little out of date though.

    Balfson:  Agreed, 50 should be enough for any home, I just seem to be an
    unusual home. [:)]
    (I was doing my count of home devices and just Apple products comes up to 14 
    IPs, who knew??)

    Vels:  I too don't want to ruin things for everyone, Astaro is very generous with their free for home use license.

    Anyone know what happens when the limit is reached?  Is the IP allowed out?  I just got my 49 of 50 IPs used warning.

    I believe so, but you will be pelted with notification warnings ad nauseam.

    TheDrew : I dont consider it cheating when reasons are reasonable.. I believe the count should be done either daily or within the lease time of the DHCP scope - giving people a chance to clean up after a happy day of playing with hardware or the kids have a party where the 25 friends all bring their ipad and connect to the guest wifi.
    However, that being said - I will not contribute to systematic use of those commands as I heard from Bob.  I dont know exactly how, but it must be something like a script and a cron job of some sorts - very creative and that is what I call cheating.

    About the IP limit..the Astaro runs with a 110% grace limit, meaning after you hit 55 IP's not further connections will be allowed for new clients.

    I think 55 with whining is ok, things should settle down before I get that high.
    (should settle down tonight, last night of hardware messing)

    There should be an easy way to reset the IP counter.

    I know it's rare, but if you reconfigure internal network, change IP ranges in DHCP etc you can quickly double the IP count until it all settles down again and Astaro forgets the old IP addresses.

    Simon, I think Astaro Support is happy to reset for commercial customers.

    Just a follow up...
    I survived the week.
    Peaked out at 53 IPs
    Currently at 42 IPs.

    Memo to self.  When playing with hardware, don't give real GW address until ready for use.  [:)]

    I have an unusual enough setup that betaing will be helpful to us both.  [:)]

    How does one find out about betas?

    They are public.  Anyone can participate.  Go to the main page of the forums.  If you scroll down, you'll see an area called "Closed Forums (read only)".  When a beta begins, this will open up for use.  As well, there's normally an entry in the blog at Up2Date and an announcement post in the regular forums.
