HCL Update for New Intel Chipsets!

Hi, I see today the Official HCL and is very outdate... any news for support the news Intel chipset like G31 Or G41.?? Because is very dificult buy this OLD motherboards Today!!

I have this NEW motherboard Asrock G31M-S... Is not working. i made all..  but i dont know if the problem is the ICH7 or G31 Chipset.  the website of this model is: ASRock > Products > G31M-S 

Any ideas to make this work??

    Hi, ICH7 is supported according to several users.

    What happens during install? Did you press ALT-F2, ALT-F3, etc., when it failed?

    IMHO, brands like Asus, Abit, MSI, and Giga-byte are more reliable, assuming the chips are supported.

    I'd love to hear some feedback on this. I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 2U rack unit that sports a Foxconn mobo with an intel G41 chipset. It offers significant future proof protection easily supporting some of the more advanced features that I'm looking and the price is right. But I hesitate because I'd hate to find that it is not supported. I recall reading about someone having significant issues with the G31 chipset but I can not track down the posts now. 

    Any feedback on these chipsets appreciated.

    Some g31 implementations don't work right due to production variances or feature additions by mobo manufacturers.  There are some g41 boards that work and some g31 that don't.  It's a mobo brand by mobo brand thing.

    I buy the MSI G41M4-F and Works Fine!! This motherboard have a G41 Intel Chipset and ICH7. The website is: MSI Global ? Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more 
    Support X64 and 8GB of RAM, but in Astaro for now only 4GB is supported in x86

    The Best Choice is Check Here First Before buy the Motherboard!!! Recently i buy 10 motherboard Asrock Whit G31 Chipset... and none is supported by astaro so far. [:(] From now Always I check the MotherBoard First Here!! [;)]

    The good news is that soon we will be opening the Beta for V8 in the coming weeks. This new version has an updated kernel which literally adds support for thousands of new devices, you should find a much larger range of hardware and chipsets works right out of the box. Bear with us, its coming soon!

    Thats Great!!! Today i have windows Running in Motherboards whit Intel Chipset G31 and Running Astaro in Vmware Server 2.x, Because this chipset is not supported yet! [;)] but is better that put in the garbage!! [:)]
