AWG - Install possible with only one NIC ?

Hi all,

I have a hosted VMWare Server running in a remote Datacenter. I have six useable public IP address and one phys. NIC. Can I still install and use Astaro Web Gateway ?
Until now I'm using Squid with this setup but I would like to replace it with AWG.

    It's not open to everyone. Users need to authenticate . Think of it as an external AV/URL Filter/ Content Filter Service.

    OK, then I think wudukes solution is the one you need.  You likely need to bridge the two VLAN interfaces.

    Hey guys

    I have got a HP Microserver with ESXi running, for my home network.
    Now I want to install the AWG, but I only have one NIC because the other slot is blocked from a Remote Access Card.

    Now Im not sure if it's a real problem to set it up on one physical (two virtual) NICs.

    Is this a real bad security issue for a home network?

    Hi, if you only want Web Filtering, it should work.

    Be sure to assign your router as the gateway address for the internal NIC.

    BTW, you might be able to configure the remote admin NIC as 'shared', which means it can work as a 2nd NIC.
