I will say one more thing, though; if you are on Version 7.x, hold out for the next release or 2 (if you can); They are changing the spam engine out for one that uses less resources, and I also have heard on the board here that they are going to swap out Squid for a custom HTTP proxy that uses less resources as well... should help with the memory issues.
PS: the new 220s, I've found, do support more memory than 512 (these are ones sold in the past few weeks) ... maybe that's what Astaro Support was thinking of. Perhaps "upgrading" to one of those may be an option; I'm currently checking, for my own info, on what Astaro's policy will be on being able to upgrade the memory (from a support / warranty standpoint).

Good info, I will ask my dealer about an 'upgrade' to a new 220 board as it would seem we need the RAM.
I have not upgraded to v7. From reading the boards it seems problematic and I have problems already :-)
The rebuild option seems to be the best bet it would seem but I don't know how I would transfer/restore the certificates I have for the VPN clients, etc.
Fingers crossed if the engines do change then it will weigh me more towards doing the upgrade. I am just worried about downtime and normally try to do all work in-house rather than pay for external resource.....going for the Astaro solution to me seemed a no brainer as it seemed very easy to manage, seems not so easy on the upgrade though lol(!)
