Up2Date errors

I, too, am unable to install 5.101. It seems to download fine, but I get an internal error when it tries to install. I had just installed the one before this (5.100) which seems to be the running version.

It seems to download it fine:

but I still have several versions to go before I get to 5.200.

It seems like I'm unable to install anything after the first install. I just applied 5.027 to a box and now 5.100 won't install.

BTW, I was able to apply all four patches (5.100 through 5.200 IIR) just last Saturday.

My errors when away when I used Internet Explorer

It seems that Astaro only supports Microsoft.
Firefox intigration issues seems to be the problem.
I haven't tried my Opera browser.

Did you check for any earlier messages that may have been errors? My auto-up2date tried several times through the night, before it actually got it right early this morning!

I did now, there where only two messages, saying that a Pattern Up2Date could not be downloaded, nothing about the 5.2 package.

i might be able to explain the strange up2date behavior lateley.

Last thursday we released the up2date 5.200, 
due to latest press visibility based on or appliance announcements and our Novell partnership, 
Astaro has gained much visibility and the download of trial licenses has increased significantly.

Unfortunatly this increased install base and with it the increased traffic has first brought down a router at our ISP and than maxed out our up2date server infrastucture.
the usual network traffic has increased more than ten times, and this caused kind of traffic jam at our authentication servers which were not able to generate enough entropy to handle all the HTTPS authentication requests.

and if you take a look a the network utilization it  looked like this:
  

We now added servers and reconfigured the existing one's to scale better.

Most if not all those problems mentioned in this thread should be somehow related if not caused by this problem.

I've never been able to update past my current version.  However, IPS and anti-virus updates were a breeze.  Can you show me a link to "MANUALLY DOWNLOAD" the update files to the latest version so I can download them all and call them up on my local firewall for installation instead of having to go through the web everytime.  

Maybe when I get to 5.1++ then I'll be able to update with no problems.
